How much can you trust a testimonial on a web site? Very little is the honest answer – especially when it comes to choosing a teacher and self defence system. As a beginner, there are some straightforward questions that need to be answered. What skills do I need to develop to protect my family? In a crisis will I be able to effectively use the skills I’ve learnt? I was lucky enough to ask a friend who had done a considerable amount of research on the subject, and Filipino boxing in particular. His view is that Antonio is one of the best guys out there, and recommended that I try an initial one to one session and decide for myself.
After a couple of months training I have zero regrets and have already learnt more than I thought was possible given my training schedule. Make no mistake, the training is hard, but well worth it. Of course I continue to ask people what they think of Antonio’s system and the answer is surprisingly consistent he teaches a core system you can use without any superfluous moves or actions. While I expect to hear this from other students, it’s impressive when I hear it from other teachers and instructors. At its heart, self defence is really about recovery from stupidity or bad luck, when you find yourself in a position you would have given almost anything to prevent or avoid. With enough hard training and commitment, the NUDDA System will improve your odds of a faster recovery. But don’t take my word for it – give Antonio a call and investigate this thoroughly for yourself.

I started my personal martial arts journey with Antonio Faedda in July 2008 .
